Treatments - we offer a full range of NHS and Private
CONSULTATIONS - A consultation is a thorough examination of the teeth and gums to assess their condition and determine what treatments,if any, are necessary.
COMPOSITE (WHITE) RESTORATIONS - If the decay is not too serious, our dentist will remove all the decay and restore the tooth with a white (tooth coloured) filling. Our dentists can safely replace silver amalgam fillings with white tooth coloured fillings.

CROWN AND BRIDGEWORK - A crown is an artificial restoration that fits over the remaining part of a prepared tooth, making it strong and giving it the shape of a natural tooth. A crown is sometimes known as a ‘cap’. Crowns are an ideal restoration for teeth that have been broken, or have been weakened by decay or a very large filling. They can be made of porcelain or gold or a combination of these materials. Dental crowns are used for a number of other reasons, to improve the appearance of discoloured fillings, to protect a root filling, to help hold a bridge or denture firmly in place.
A dental bridge is usually used where there are fewer teeth to replace, or when the missing teeth are only on one side of the mouth. Bridges are usually made of a precious metal. If the bridge will show, porcelain is then bonded to the base. Sometimes other non-precious metals are used in the base to reduce the cost.

VENEERS & OTHER COSMETIC DENTISTRY - Veneers are thin layers of porcelain made to fit over the front surface of a tooth. If front teeth are stained, chipped or crooked veneers will give a good life-like appearance with minimum tooth adjustment.

DENTURES (AND REPAIRS) - A removable denture replaces missing teeth. ‘Partial’ dentures replace a few missing teeth and ‘full’ dentures are needed if all the natural teeth are missing. Dentures are made of plastic and sometimes metal as well to make them strong and less bulky. Click here to read more about how dentures are made.

PREVENTION AND ORAL HYGIENE ADVICE - We are happy to discuss your oral hygiene and give advice on preventing gum disease. We also sell a variety of dental hygiene products.
ROOT CANAL THERAPY - Root canal therapy can be considered as an advanced procedure to save a tooth which a number of years ago would have been extracted. Root canal therapy is normally required when a tooth has died, usually as a result of a large amount of previous decay or trauma. The typical symptoms are pain and swelling which unless treated will get worse and is known as an abscess. By using very fine and flexible instruments and magnification, the narrow canal inside the teeth can be cleaned of all infected material and shaped to accept a plastic based filling material. Once the canal system has sealed, a permanent restoration (filling) can be placed on top.
ORTHODONTIC AND IMPLANT REFERRAL - We have various clinics locally that are able to see our patients for Orthodontic treatment (braces) and Implants.
MINOR ORAL SURGERY - We can carry out minor oral surgery like extractions and removal of difficult roots.
TREATMENT OF PERIODONTAL DISEASE - There are a number of types of periodontal disease and they all affect the tissues supporting the teeth. As the disease gets worse the bone anchoring the teeth in the jaw is lost, making the teeth loose. If this is not treated, the teeth may eventually fall out. Most people suffer from some form of gum disease, and it is the major cause of tooth loss in adults. However, the disease develops very slowly in most people, and it can be slowed down to a rate that should allow you to keep most of your teeth for life. click here to read in more detail about periodontal disease.
TOOTH WHITENING - A whitening gel is placed in a custom-made tray which you can wear whilst asleep or for short periods during the day. Results are normally seen over 2 weeks
